Summer in Maine is not complete without a plunge into Sabbath Day Lake - our many decades long tradition made infinitely more delicious by @brescahoneybee ice cream creations. Truly unbelievable flavor combos, perfect texture. And this is the last weekend for it!! Now or never in 2022. Nooooo!! Summer is ending.

Baked Whole Lobster Recipe - we couldn’t find it

Baked Whole Lobster Recipe - we couldn’t find it anywhere online! The flavors are so rich and vibrant when the lobster is basted and baked this way - not diluted. No dipping butter needed.
Ingredients:
whole fresh lobster - big! 3lb
Fresh herbs - bay, tarragon
butter
Humanely kill the creature just before cooking. See YouTube for this step.
Slather shell with butter
Bake in preheated oven - 350 degrees - on a cookie sheet with sides or a roasting pan.
Baste shell with butter drippings. Watch for doneness - reddened shell and congealed drippings.
About 45 minutes
Hammer shells before serving - peel at the table (plenty of napkins needed)
Serve with super chilled Bluet!

Pick up a blueberry rake, and bring your haul home to make your own jam. We’ll be serving cold cans of Bluet, shuck-your-own oysters from @gliddenpoint , local cheese from @lakinsgorgescheese , and wild blueberry pie. Dogs aren’t allowed to pick blueberries, so bring a leash please!
